Who We Are

My name is Jitender, and together with my husband Guru, we are proud to continue the wonderful journey of Character Kidz – the home of New Zealand-made cultural and educational costumes for children.

Our mission is to create costumes that do more than delight—they’re powerful tools for building cultural awareness and understanding among young learners.

Every costume is carefully designed and constructed to help children connect with their own cultural heritage and explore the diverse backgrounds of their peers.

We believe that nurturing cultural understanding from an early age fosters empathy, respect, and a lifelong appreciation for diversity.
